Xociety Game Listed on Epic Games Store for Early Access
Xociety, a third-person shooter RPG, has been officially listed on the Epic Games Store in anticipation of its upcoming early access launch. Players who are interested in this web3 title can now wishlist the game on the Fortnite creator’s platform to increase visibility and prepare to dive into the sci-fi blockchain game during its early phase.
How Does Xociety Early Access Work on the Epic Games Store?
According to the FAQ section on the official store page, Xociety Early Access will offer players a sneak peek of the full experience by allowing everyone to participate in Squad Match. In Squad Match, players collaborate in 3-player squads to gather Motus, which are essential for winning the match. With up to 30 players per match, the competition is fierce as 10 teams compete to be the first to extract with Motus and claim victory.
Some in-game items will be awarded as NFTs, giving players true ownership of their assets for trading and resale on a secondary marketplace. The game plans to establish its own marketplace for trading NFTs and third-party assets. The blockchain integration through the Sui network uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, but players can choose to ignore this feature and focus solely on gameplay.
