The latest preview playtest for Fableborne, titled “Sorcery Unfolds”, brings exciting new content updates powered by Ronin. This update includes 60 new campaign levels, the introduction of new characters, and the addition of Ability Tomes.
A sneak peek of the new features can be seen in a gameplay video shared in the initial X announcement. The video showcases action in new areas, new units, and the implementation of Ability Tomes. Ability Tomes seem to function as modifiers that can be equipped to characters to grant them new skills. For example, Glint’s Tome allows players to exchange abilities with Solar Flare. This opens up new possibilities for gameplay strategies. Details on other Ability Tomes for different heroes are yet to be revealed.
One of the new characters introduced is the Sorceress, an Elite Unit specializing in dark magic powers. The Sorceress possesses three abilities: Homing Projectiles, Leeching/Dark Bolt, and Summon Skeletons. These abilities enhance defensive capabilities and offer unique gameplay options.
How to Participate in Fableborne Preview Playtest: Sorcery Unfolds
If you wish to participate in the Sorcery Unfolds playtest, taking place from March 26th to March 30th, you must be a Primordial or Kingdom NFT holder. Non-NFT holders can sign up for a chance to participate in the playtest through the Alphabot raffle linked in the official announcement. Time is limited, with the signup closing soon, so ensure to register before it’s too late.
NFT holders can access the playtest without signing up. Primordial NFTs are available on OpenSea, while Kingdom NFTs can be found on the Ronin Market. Limited spots are available for non-NFT players, making this playtest exclusive for NFT holders.
It’s important to note that this playtest is not Season 4 but a precursor to gather feedback before the official season launch with significant content updates for blockchain gamers.
