The Beacon has launched Phase 2: Trials and Tribulations, the next stage of The New Frontiers Quest. This update brings fresh challenges, gameplay tweaks, and extra rewards for players willing to test their skills.
What to Expect in Phase 2:
- New quests and challenges drop weekly – Two are available at launch, with 2 more the next day and 2 rolling out shortly after.
- Try out new weapons, monsters, traps, and field items – Your feedback will influence the game’s final design.
- Expedition Points system – Track your contributions and progress throughout Phase 2.
- Hardcore versions of some quests – Higher risks, better rewards!
- New client builds for each quest – Downloadable via Treasure Launcher for faster iteration and improvements.

Who Can Play?
Act II is primarily reserved for Writ of Passage (WOP) NFT holders, but there will be public instances for non-holders as well. Keep an eye on official announcements for details.
How to Join:
- Own a Writ of Passage NFT (on either Arbitrum or Treasure Network).
- Unstake your WOP to join this phase. (Unstake here)
- Download the game via Treasure Launcher and start questing!
If you don’t own a WOP yet, you can purchase one from various marketplaces.
Where Are We in The New Frontiers Quest?
The New Frontiers Quest acts as a pre-launch campaign for The Beacon, allowing players to earn rewards, refine mechanics, and get a head start before the official launch.
Recap of the Phases So Far:
Phase 1 (Open to All)
- Players completed missions to earn Prestige Points.
- Completing the main questline entered players into a raffle for a Writ of Passage mint spot.
- This phase featured social engagement, play to airdrop mechanics, and a public demo.
Phase 2 (Exclusive to WOP Holders)
- Act I introduced WOP staking mechanics.
- Act II (NOW LIVE) focuses on challenging quests, testing, and rewards. Two new quests are available:
- Main Quest: “Watch Your Step” – Introduces new mechanics, including traps and hazards.
- Optional Hard Quest: “Dance Through the Danger” – Designed for those seeking a challenge.
Rewards & Progression in Act II
WOP holders can earn Expedition Points, which determine their token airdrop allocation.
Expedition Points System:
- Complete quests to earn chests containing Expedition Points.
- A snapshot of your total points at the end of the phase determines your reward allocation.
- More points mean a bigger share of the reward pool.
Writ of Passage Bonus Multiplier
- Holding a WOP NFT grants an expedition points multiplier.
- Ensure you hold your WOP at the final snapshot to receive the bonus.
