Engine Update and Performance Improvements
CCP Games recently announced their biggest engine update yet for EVE Frontier. The game now runs on Python 3.12, a significant shift from the previous Stackless Python fork. This update required extensive modifications, including making 4 million lines of Python code compatible with Python 3 and rewriting the network stack.
The engine update is expected to bring performance improvements to the game. Players may notice a 10% to 30% increase in performance in various situations, such as firing weapons or having multiple players log in.
