MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor has once again teased the market with the company’s Bitcoin (BTC) tracker chart on X. In the past, such posts have been followed by significant announcements of additional BTC acquisitions by the company.

Industry experts and observers are speculating that MicroStrategy is gearing up to announce another major Bitcoin purchase following Saylor’s latest post.

MicroStrategy’s Recent Bitcoin Acquisitions
In recent months, MicroStrategy has been on a buying spree, acquiring billions of dollars worth of BTC. The company bought 27,200 BTC worth $2.03 billion on Nov. 10, followed by another 51,780 BTC worth $4.5 billion on Nov. 17, and $5.32 billion for 55,500 BTC on Nov. 24. Additionally, MicroStrategy added 15,350 bitcoins in mid-December.
MicroStrategy’s Impressive BTC Holdings
MicroStrategy now holds a total of 444,262 BTC, with the most recent acquisition of 5,262 BTC for $561 million. The company has acquired these bitcoins at an average purchase price of $106,662 per bitcoin, bringing the total value of BTC holdings to approximately $27.7 billion since 2020.
The company’s dollar cost averaging for the entire haul stands at $62,257 per bitcoin, with the current holdings valued at $42.16 billion while Bitcoin price hovers around $94,780, resulting in an overall profit of over $14.5 billion.
Bitcoin Price Outlook
Bitcoin traded above $94k on Dec. 29, showing resilience above the $100k level. Market analysts predict a potential rally towards $150k-$200k in 2025 due to the combination of buy pressure, spot ETFs demand, and positive market catalysts.
