Introducing the New Perks Rarity System in Wild Forest
Wild Forest developers have recently introduced a new Perks Rarity System to enhance the gameplay experience for players. This system adds rarity levels to Perks, providing better attributes based on the rarity of the Perk.
Understanding the New Perks Rarity System
The new Perks Rarity System categorizes Perks into three different rarity levels: Common (gray), Uncommon (green), and Rare (blue). Players have a 60% chance of getting a Common Perk, a 30% chance of securing an Uncommon Perk, and a 10% chance of obtaining a Rare Perk.
Here’s how the rarity levels affect the attributes of Perks:
- Common Perks: Provide basic attributes
- Uncommon Perks: Offer improved attributes compared to Common Perks
- Rare Perks: Provide the highest level of attributes
Some abilities are exclusively available in one rarity level to maintain gameplay balance and consistency. For example:
- Common: Efficiency, Elusive, Massive
- Uncommon: Piercing Damage, Armor Destroyer
- Rare: Thunder God
Impact of the Perks Rarity System
Existing Perks assigned to Units before the introduction of the Perks Rarity System will remain unchanged, with only their rarity levels being adjusted. This adjustment aims to provide a balanced gameplay experience for all players.
Abilities that have had their rarity levels upgraded include:
- Siege: Common to Uncommon
- Skilled Healer: Common to Uncommon
- Vitality: Common to Uncommon
- Massive Healing: Uncommon to Rare
- Fire Range: Common to Rare
Unlocking Perks in Wild Forest
In Wild Forest, Perks are passive abilities randomly assigned to Units to enhance gameplay. Players can unlock Perks by ranking up their Units to Epic, Legendary, and Mystic ranks. To rank up a Unit, players need to merge multiple in-game Units or Unit NFTs and pay a fee in $WF tokens.
Each Unit can have up to 3 special abilities based on its rank, with higher ranks offering more Perks. Previously, abilities were restricted to specific Unit types, but with the new Perks Rarity System, every Unit of Epic rank and higher has a chance to receive any available Perk.
Players can look forward to the ability to re-roll Perks in a future update, offering greater customization and strategic options in gameplay.
With the introduction of the Perks Rarity System, players can expect more customization options, increased variety in gameplay, and potential new strategies to explore. This system may also impact how Units are priced on the Mavis Market, as players seek Units with specific Perks to enhance their gameplay experience.
