This expansion signifies the growth of World ID, an innovative digital passport associated with AI technologies. Worldcoin’s move into these new regions follows its previous expansion in Europe back in July.
Additionally, on September 19, the project introduced Face Auth, a cutting-edge feature designed to facilitate online proof of identity while ensuring privacy. This feature enables a secure 1:1 face comparison, accessible only to users who have verified their World IDs through a Worldcoin orb.
Earlier this month, the interoperability platform Wormhole further enhanced World ID functionalities by integrating it into Solana, allowing developers on the Solana blockchain to authenticate usersā World IDs originally verified on Ethereum.
