Hi guys. My name is Gokhan Porat. I live in Istanbul, Turkey. I’m the strategy and business development lead for. Averest, a technology training company affiliated with ISACA, ISC2, PeopleCert, and IAPP. Our company specializes in IT governance and security training and certification. I am also his ISACA trainer who is APMG certified. 1. What is blockchain?
Blockchain is a shared/distributed ledger of transactions that can be accessed and shared by many parties. It uses cryptography and peer-to-peer technology to secure and record transactions in an immutable sequence of events without a trusted central authority. The main advantage of blockchain is that it enables commercial transactions without the need for trusted intermediaries or mandatory system controls.
A distributed ledger is a ledger that exists between multiple participants or locations.
