Onchain Heroes: Enter the Endgame Dungeon
The battle heats up in Onchain Heroes as the Endgame Dungeon kicks off, marking the second phase of Season 1. After weeks of leveling up, players can now take their heroes into high-risk battles against dungeon bosses for exclusive Gacha Tokens, leaderboard rewards, and a share of the Season 1 prize pool.
Complete Ownership with Onchain Heroes
Onchain Heroes is a fully on-chain idle RPG built on the Abstract Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network. Unlike other web3 games, every action, battle, and reward is recorded on-chain, giving players complete ownership over their game assets. As of writing, only those who hold a Genesis Hero NFT can access Onchain Heroes.
Play to Earn Mechanics
The game revolves around the $HERO token, an ERC-20 utility token used for:
- Paying entry fees for battles and dungeons
- Upgrading heroes
- Purchasing in-game cosmetics
- Unlocking exclusive rewards
Players can earn $HERO by completing missions, taking part in battles, and ranking on the leaderboard.
Season 1: A Two-Phase Play to Airdrop Event
Season 1 consists of two phases:
- Leveling Game (Feb 20th – March 3rd)
- Endgame Dungeon (March 3rd – March 12th)
The Leveling Game allowed players to send their heroes into battle to earn $HERO, level up, and prepare for the Endgame.
How the Endgame Dungeon Works
The Endgame Dungeon brings high-stakes combat where players must stake their NFT heroes and $HERO tokens to face deadly bosses.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum Hero Level: 10+
- Entry Fee: Paid in $HERO
- Minimum Stake Duration: 12 hours
- Unstaking Required: Players must manually unstake their hero after battle to claim rewards
High Stakes: Permanent Hero Locking
Unlike normal battles, Endgame dungeon fights carry severe consequences. If a hero dies in combat, they are locked in the Endgame contract until Season 1 ends, meaning they cannot be used, transferred, or sold.
The Dungeon Bosses & Challenges
The Endgame Dungeon comes with three powerful bosses, each requiring different strategies and $HERO investments.
Season 1 Rewards: Gacha Tokens & Leaderboard Prizes
Gacha Tokens: Unlocking Exclusive Items
Players who survive dungeon fights can earn Gacha Tokens, which are ERC-1155 NFTs that can be redeemed in Season 2 for gear, pets, and cosmetics.
Leaderboard Rewards: Earn $HERO & Exclusive NFTs
At the end of Season 1, 50% of all $HERO spent will be redistributed to top-ranking players, while the other 50% is permanently burned. Top 3 players will receive Genesis Rings, ultra-rare NFTs that provide exclusive in-game perks.
Dynamic Gameplay: Evolving Bosses & Changing Strategies
One of the most unique aspects of the Endgame Dungeon is its ever-changing difficulty. The bosses will evolve over time, adjusting their attack styles, weaknesses, and rewards based on player strategies.
What’s Next for Onchain Heroes?
With Season 1 wrapping up on March 12th, players have limited time to climb the leaderboard, defeat dungeon bosses, and secure their token share. After Season 1, the Gacha House will open, allowing players to redeem their Gacha Tokens for powerful items.
