Following the successful open beta launch of Boss Fighters in August, the web3 asymmetrical PC and VR game is gearing up for its upcoming Economy Test. This exciting phase will enable players to monetize their gaming experiences.
What Is the Boss Fighters Economy Test?
The Boss Fighters Economy Test is an anticipated play-to-earn phase that rewards players for demonstrating their skills as fighters and bosses in the game. During this period, participants will earn a tradable premium currency known as Proxy $BFT. This initiative will also assist developers in refining the game’s economic system ahead of its official release.
Key Features of Proxy $BFT
- Distinction from $BFT: Proxy $BFT is different from the future $BFT cryptocurrency.
- Trading and Crafting: Players can trade Proxy Tokens on Open Loot and use them to craft Digital Collectibles, increasing potential earnings.
- Ownership After Test: Although Proxy $BFT will not be retained post-test, players will still own crafted items and resources, providing incentive to engage in crafting.
This Economy Test marks a significant milestone for Boss Fighters, leading up to the Token Generation Event (TGE) for $BFT and the game’s official Early Access launch on Steam. Players can download the demo version from Steam and create an account to start their journey.
How to Participate in the Boss Fighters Economy Test
Participation in the Economy Test is reserved for those holding a Showrunner Contract, regardless of rarity. Additionally, players must have at least one Fighter, one Boss, and one Weapon from any collection. However, players who do not possess a Showrunner Contract can still earn Proxy $BFT by obtaining Disposable Badges, which are non-tradable items achievable through events.
Acquiring a Showrunner Contract
For those who missed the Mystery Box sale, options to acquire a Showrunner Contract include:
- Purchasing on Open Loot’s secondary marketplace
- Participating in activities organized by partnered guilds
- Winning in events hosted by the game’s team
In the future, renting a Showrunner Contract from Open Loot will also be possible, with more details to be released.
Crafting and Utilizing Badges
With a Showrunner Contract, players can craft Badges to attach to their Fighters or Bosses, enabling them to earn Proxy $BFT.
- Badge Strategy: Players can equip up to 5 Badges to maximize their Proxy $BFT earnings in matches.
- Rarity Matters: The rarity of the Showrunner Contract influences the rarity of Badges available for crafting, which in turn affects potential earnings.
Recharging Badges
Badges will need recharging after several matches, and this process requires FLEX and Sponsor Marks:
- Earning FLEX: FLEX is an in-game currency obtained through various activities.
- Trading Sponsor Marks: Sponsor Marks are tradable on Open Loot, gained by crafting and merging Digital Collectibles.
Enhancing Gameplay and Earnings
In addition to Proxy $BFT, players can earn various items to craft Digital Collectibles that come with Value Perks, which can further boost earnings.
Crafting and Merging Items
- Merging for Rarity: Merging identical items increases rarity, leading to better Value Perks for improved rewards.
- Value Perk Strategy: A well-planned loadout can yield up to 12 Value Perks if assembled with Legendary assets.
To maximize benefits, players may choose to invest FLEX during the merging process, allowing for selective perks. Developers recommend focusing on complementary Value Perks and using Digital Collectible skins with bonus perks for optimal results.
As of now, no confirmed start date has been announced for the Economy Test. Stay tuned for updates to take full advantage of this rewarding phase in Boss Fighters.
